The Facts: On August 8, 2021,Jordan Patrick Leahy 29, saw a black man J.T. driving with his daughter and his girlfriend. He began calling him racial slurs and started following him, trying to ride him off the road. He even side swiped his car. At a light, Leahy got out of the car and and tried to assault J.T. and continued with the racial slurs. When officers from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene, Leahy made numerous statements showing evidence of his bias motive, including telling the officers that black people need to be kept “in their areas.”
